A Knighthood for John Thaw

We the undersigned request that John Thaw be given a Knighthood.

John Thaw is probably the finest screen actor of all time with David Jason coming second. Who could imagine two completely different coppers played by the same actor but John Thaw managed it as has John Nettles. John made both the roles of Jack Regan and Endeavour Morse his own, in fact he played all of his characters over the years tremendously and should be rewarded for this. Sir John Thaw seems a very fitting tribute to a wonderful actor, husband and father who has died far too young and my thoughts go out to Sheila Hancock and the rest of John's family.

Please consider what has been said in this petition because the person to whom it concerns had got real genuine talent.
