Speeding Enforcement on Hammonds Mill Road

The purpose of this petition is to increase the enforcement of the 25-45 mph speed limit on Hammonds Mill Road and surrounding side streets of Hedgesville WV. Speeding on these roads is out of control and is a major problem, State Police have told us they do not have the manpower to take care of the problem and Berkeley County Police has said us they would try. But, have never seen either traveling the roads or pulling someone over. For people who live on these roads it is even worse trying to get your mail when you have speeding cars coming at you, there are two schools on these same roads also with children walking to get home. The average speed cars have been traveling on these roads have been 50 plus miles per hour! The other problem is you can not drive the speed limit on any of the roads in Berkely County without someone getting inches away from you while driving!!!!! After signatures are gathered this petition will be sent to Senator Rockefeller, Shelley Moore Capito, West Virginia State Police, and Berkeley County Police We would to extend our thanks to any and all that sign this petition.
