Prime Minister of Turkey


Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

The undersigned Arab intellectuals, professors, poets, writers, activists, professionals, and students wish to express their deep appreciation and gratitude for your support of the just cause of the Palestinian people. By taking the high moral ground in Davos to condemn Israeli crimes in Gaza and defend your position without hesitation, you have given world leaders an example in courage and integrity that is hard to follow. Your declarations of support for Arab causes and sympathy for the victims of Gaza have managed to accomplish another historic achievement; the resurrection of Arab-Turkish affinity after a century of hibernation. We promise you to work as hard as possible to deepen this affinity and help transform it into a true peoples' power to expand cooperation between our two peoples and help make our region a safer and more just and prosperous place for our children and grandchildren to live in and enjoy, while feeling proud to belong to its peoples, history and heritage.
