Just Say NO to the Mark Clark Extension

To:  SC Elected Officials

Due to the negative impacts an extension of Interstate 526 would cause to Johns Island and due to the unclear transportation benefits of the proposed extension, we the undersigned citizens of South Carolina call on our elected officials to require the South Carolina Transportation Infrastructure Bank Board and the South Carolina Department of Transportation to immediately stop any plans for the expansion of Interstate 526 to Johns Island and James Island and to shift all money previously awarded to fund the extension of I-526 to road projects with a clear and present need elsewhere in the State of South Carolina.
