We the undersigned request that Paul Marquess is axed altogether, from any capacity whatsoever in the television industry.

Paul Marquess is a walking disaster and the kiss and death of any long running television programme. He hasn't got a bloody clue on what the majority of the viewers want, the core audience that is. The man is incapable of understanding an audience properly and cannot read viewers minds. What Paul Marquess wants for all the programmes that he is put in charge of at some point or other, is not what 20 million people out there in the United Kingdom want and the sooner he realises that the better. At present Paul has managed to destroy two long running programmes, Brookside which has ended up in the knackers yard altogether and the other is The Bill, which is still on the air at present, but its walking on thin ice there is no doubt about that. How long will it be before The Bill ends up where Brookside is ask yourselves that question. Paul Marquess has got to be the worst Executive Producer in the history of British Television in all the years British Television has been going, which is the BBC since 1936, ITV since 1955, Channel 4 since 1982 and lastly Channel 5 since 1997. Paul wouldn't even be fit for 1) serving refreshments in the canteen of a studio at lunchtime and 2) cleaning the toilets of a studio when everybody has left work for the day, let alone be an Executive Producer of a television programme.

What annoys me more is the fact that producers are constantly coming and going all the time, in and out of programmes, interfering and meddling with things that don't bloody concern them. No producer of a television programme should interfere with another man or another woman's creation. Interference from producers is the reason programmes end up getting in a mess and eventually end up been axed altogether. It doesn't seem right that other people's creations should be tampered with because the way they are created is what makes them get off the ground in the first place and appeal to people. The producers aren't the creators of these programmes, they are the interfering, meddling idiots who destroy programmes in the end. All television soaps and drama series have always been producer led and I think it is time for a change in that respect. I think a new rule needs to be set and that new rule is as follows - All soaps and drama series from now on will be creator led and bloody creator led only. This change would be change for the better and if any producers don't like the fact that they will be told what to do from now on - sack the bastards.
