Petition to Microsoft Regarding the Zune Marketplace |
To: Microsoft CorporationAlthough it was completely trashed by the media upon launch, the Zune has been a solid product from the beginning. The device itself has been more than functional, and the software has been great. The defining feature of the Zune, however, is the Marketplace and Zune Pass. Microsoft has redefined music subscription and social networking when it comes to music and media. Microsoft listened to the communities suggestions and blew the world away with the 2.2 software.
Though at this point, though the hardware and software is near perfect, we have one suggestion:
Get more music on the marketplace. Get more bands available for subscription.
We pay $15/month to subscribe to this knowing full well we really don't own it. At least let us listen to music we want to?
We understand that some of those "unheard of" bands aren't practical to get on the Marketplace, by classic rock bands, such as Metallica and AC/DC are a buy-only option. Can't the mighty Microsoft negotiate some sort of deal with the music industry on their music?Sincerely,
