Anti-STEAM for Total War |
To: The Creative AssemblyWe, the consumer, feel that the choice by Creative Assembly, and SEGA, to use STEAM for the latest Total War release was wrong and unjust.
While we agree that the game packaging does state that activation is required through STEAM, it makes no mention that this third party software is required to run the product we paid for.
We feel the retail version should have remained as, 'insert disk, cd-key, play'. (We would also like to note that the use of STEAM for anti-piracy purposes was, and always will remain pointless - there are work arounds out there for this).
We would like to make it clear that any future releases of the Total War series, through STEAM only, will not be paid for by us.Sincerely,
