As of February 20, 2009 it has been stated that GCNaptown.com (the biggest Good Charlotte message board)is officially dead, after being up for at least 6 years, surpassed 1 million hits, and 60,000 members.

We were led on, stating that there was going to be a new version of the site in November 2008, and we got no updates on it, and all of a sudden, it's dead. I am personally appalled that people would treat this so insensitively.

This petition was started to make people well aware of the friendships that blossomed from this site, the family that was created within the GC fandom. We travel miles and miles to spend time with each other, we became friends because of this band and we don't want to see Naptown die because of what it has given us. We also doubt that Good Charlotte themselves would want to see it go, they love the site and have supported us for years. We've been around for so long and this site has a special place in all of us, it was not right to abruptly stop something that gives us so much happiness thanks to money or lack of interest by people involved.

We just want our site back. We love who we are, we're proud to be members of the family within the GC family. We want to show the world that Naptown still matters in everyone's lives. We are hoping that in time that the site is treated as well as we love it. We don't care what it takes- we want it back.

Good Charlotte once said "Some friends become enemies, some friends become your FAMILY." That's what we are- we are living examples of that. So with what's good in the world, please consider keeping the site up. We're too good to die.
