Act now to re-establish General Practice partnerships

We the under signed believe that General Practice needs Partnership positions to maintain the local and accountable nature of general practice in the UK. This model having served dutifully the UK for many decades and admired around the world . Also it is wantonly inequitable to those doctors now training as GPs for there are no leavers to open partnership positions in General Practice. The BMA and government need to act now re-establish General Practice partnerships for the sake of new GPs but above all to maintain the quality of General Practice provided to patients.
