As adult movie goers, we would like the ability to see certain films without a crying baby or restless four year old. Young children should not be able to see graphic violence in a horror movie or gratuitous sex because a parent does not want to use a baby-sitter. The NC-17 restriction is useless. Studios avoid using it and it does drive away business on a film. However, a rating of NC-10, or even NC-8, should be an acceptable compromise. We ask that the MPAA please reconsider their current ratings system. There needs to be a way to really keep children out of a movie not suitable for children and unfortunately, we live in a time where we can't expect all parents to make the right decision on their own. If done properly, business may increase for a movie because a patron can be assured of hearing the movie and not some child who doesn't belong there in the first place.
