The NFL International Series games are so unique that they should be nationally televised every year. But the NFL has failed to realize this, with only the 2005 game being seen nationally (on ESPN, also the only International Series game held outside of London).
The NFL needs to realize that these are one-of-a-kind games, and that they should not be relegated to regional coverage on Sunday Afternoon. NBC should televise the game every year in October on the latest Saturday not to conflict with the Notre Dame football home schedule (October 24 in 2009). A game in London would have a 4 PM ET kickoff (8 PM in London). And since the game is not actually being played inside the USA, it shouldn't really conflict with the antitrust exemption regulations which usually prohibit the NFL from playing on Saturdays during college football season.
All in all, the International Series games deserve better exposure than they are getting now. Please help them get this exposure.
