NHL Jersey Redesign Protest

To:  Gary Bettman, RBK Hockey & 30 NHL Team Owners

Those who have taken the time to sign this petition wish to express their concern at rumors of an apparent league-wide jersey redesign that will go beyond making the on ice versions form fitting. At this time we would like to encourage the league and RBK hockey to carefully reconsider implementing these new jerseys without consulting with the fans first and foremost.

WE WILL NOT SIMPLY BUY PRODUCTS THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH OUR FAVORITE TEAMS BECAUSE THEY ARE DEEMED "NEW & FLASHY" BY THOSE HIGH UP IN THE NHL AND RBK HOCKEY!

Those who have, and will, sign this petition regard the proposed redesign rumors as a slap in the face of long standing tradition, especially when regarding Original Six jerseys, or those which have remained virtually unchanged and untarnished by marketing ideas throughout the leagues many years.

PLEASE CONSULT WITH THE FANS FIRST!
-Many of us are not willing to purchase form fitting t-shirt jerseys.

-Many of us do not like the rumoured idea that logos and lettering will be iron-on rather than stitched on.

-Many of us are against standardizing jersey design - what makes you think we'll all rush to buy jerseys every year if they look like the boring RBK practice jerseys?

-And many of us are against any and all other rumors regarding changing aspects of the game we love so dearly - STOP MESSING WITH THE NHL, GARY! The "NEW" NHL is going too far and some tradition must stay in the game. DON'T MESS WITH OUR JERSEY'S!!!
