Petition for a weekly Rock/Metal radio show on Nile FM.

Cairo's "No.1 radio station", which fully broadcasts in English, on 104.2 MHz in Cairo Egypt, on the NileSat satellite and online on NileFmOnline.com Nile FM currently has no rock/metal oriented shows. They actually have no genre-specified shows apart from a handful of House/Dance shows. They do play some rock tracks daily though, but starting from a good couple of hours AFTER MIDNIGHT, blended with other general music, which doesn't make any sense at all.

Given the huge rock & metal audience in Cairo and Egypt generally, it would be a sensible move if they include a show of that time to their daily rotation. There are examples of successful Rock shows, like Beat FM's Rock'N Jordan and others.

If we can get enough people to sign this petition, we can present it to them, and start talking to them with something to back us up to get our favorite music
back into the mainstream.


This is my attempt for an online petition, and since they do rely heavily on Facebook for feedback (which I really don't get, why not have forums & live chat on their long-closed website instead of relying only on facebook and SMS, which is in my opinion very unprofessional)...

This attempt may or may not be successful, but if enough people back up my opinion, we might make a change to an even better radio station, which caters to a diversity of tastes.
