Tulsa City Council Resolution Refusing Funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

To:  Tulsa City Council

We, the undersigned registered voters of the City of Tulsa, petition the Tulsa City Council to pass the following resolution refusing any funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TULSA, OKLAHOMA REFUSING FUNDS FROM THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009:

WHEREAS, the Act will send the country into a much worse depression;

WHEREAS, the Act will subject future generations of American to unsurmountable heavy debt;

WHEREAS, receiving monies for wasteful spending is inconsistent with the American ideal of freedom from unnecessary government.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TULSA, OKLAHOMA:

Section 1. The City will refuse any funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
