Keep Madonna out of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

We the undersigned believe that the Pop/Disco singer Madonna Ciconne has no connection to the institution and history of Rock and Roll and it's traditional foundations in blues, soul, folk music,jazz, Country/western and Gospel.

We feel that because Madonna has NEVER performed ROCK and is strictly a Dance/Disco and Top 40 POP singer that she is in no way suited in anyway to be inducted to an institution that honors the architects of Rock music.

Furthermore we do not feel that her induction should precede those of the following female top selling and long established female ROCK musicians and singers who have yet to be recognized by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum: Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Linda Ronstandt, Lucinda Williams,
Pat Benatar, Rickie Lee Jones, Joan Jett, The GoGos, Joan Baez, Kate Bush, Emmylou Harris and Tina Turner and Stevie Knicks' extensive work as solo artists.

Nor should Madonna's induction precede the following other long established and legendary Rock acts: Nick Lowe, Dave Edmunds, The Small Faces, Rush, Grand Funk Railroad, Tower of Power,The Dead Kennedys, Cheap Trick, Arthur Lee, Thin Lizzy, The Tubes, Yes, Jethro Tull and many others.

Today the cumulative Madonna effect on the music industry has been to legitimatize pop and bubblegum music with a focus away from ROCK music, originality and musicianship with the prime objective after record and ticket sales being manipulative attention seeking antics, cosmetic makeovers, fashion stylists, excessive exercise, hair styles, money based religions.

We do not want to see a performer who's ENTIRE legacy as a performer goes against the original spirit and sound of Rock n Roll to be honored at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

We ask that you please reconsider and rescind her nomination as soon as possible.
