To:  Everyone

In 1944 Dina Gottliebova Babbitt was ordered to paint a series of pictures of gypsies to help in the propaganda by the Nazi's that gypsies were genetically inferior. The reward was that she and her mother were not gassed.

Many years later the water colors resurfaced. Dina Gottliebova Babbitt is still alive and wants her property back. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum insists it is the rightful home of the paintings.

Below are the links to both opinions.

I feel very strongly that the artist was violated by having to paint to save her and her mother's life.

I also feel strongly that the museum is violating her now.

The pictures are her property. This petition is being circulated to add our voices to her in demanding her property, and to boycott the museum until she receives it.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
