Russia has no moral right to host next olympic games

To:  International Olympic Committee, International Sports Federation, National Olimpic Committees

The events taking place in Georgia since August 8, 2008, while the Beijing Olympic Games are in progress, have demonstrated to the whole world that Russia has no moral right to host next Olympic Games in Sochi.

Russian troops have invaded the independent country and settled themselves on its territory. Towns and villages are bombed, peaceful citizens are robbed, tortured and killed and the victims are numerous. Thousands of people are left homeless.

Under the aegis of so called peace-keeping process Russian troops are annexing the independent country. The transport infrastructure of the country is paralyzed. Georgia is facing humanitarian catastrophe.

To our opinion actions of Russian Federation interfere with international human values as well as with the principles and content of Olympic Games as such.

We, the undersigned, appeal to the International Olympic Committee to reconsider its decision on Russia as the host of forthcoming Olympic Games.
