NHL Lockout Prevention

We, the undersigned fans of the National Hockey League, would like to encourage all parties involved to begin negotiations on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. As dedicated fans of this fine sport, we feel that any stoppage in play would be a detriment to the game. We feel the only way to prevent such a catastrophe would be to begin negotiations even before the upcoming season opens. As fans, we are not just the people who sit in the crowd and cheer on our favorite teams. We work hard for our money and we spend it in on tickets, merchandise, refreshments, and a number of other things offered by the NHL. We also contribute money to team and player sponsored charities and events. We feel that our money and our opinions should play a major factor in every team front office and even in the commissioner’s office. With this in mind, we do not ask for an early start on negotiations. We demand it. Thank you for your time and consideration.
