To:  The Administration of Purdue University

We, the undersigned, respectfully demand that the administration of Purdue University (West Lafayette, Indiana USA) unequivocally renounce its complicity with sweatshop labor by adopting the Designated Suppliers Program (DSP). The DSP ensures that apparel bearing the Purdue logo is manufactured in factories which follow three basic guidelines:

(1) Workers in these factories have the right to form a democratic union if they so desire, or already have such a representative body.

(2) Workers in these factories have the right to bargain toward a living wage.

(3) The Purdue Code of Conduct (which has already been approved) is honored and followed in these factories.

We further express our support of, and solidarity with, those Purdue students who are currently engaged in a hunger strike and camp-in to persuade Purdue University to adopt the DSP.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
