Allow Email Users to Add Notes to Inbox Messages |
To: Google, YahooThis petition urges major email providers such as Gmail and Yahoo! Mail to incorporate a feature that would allow users to add notes to any received email.
Millions of us receive dozens of emails per day, each with a subject line. The problem is, subject lines often do not accurately indicate the contents or goals of the email.
In short, the subject line of an email may be descriptive to the "sender", but not always descriptive enough for the "receiver" of that email.
I am purposing that email providers add an editable field next to each subject line in our inbox that would allow us to attach our own notes, phone numbers, reminders, etc. to each email we receive.
While flagging or tagging emails can be useful, it does not encompass a vast amount of information that could be added to an email, such as phone number, a deadline, or quick description of what that email mean to us.
If email providers such as Google and Yahoo will add such a benefit, we will pledge to use their email services over those who do not offer such a feature.
Sincerely,
