NTL please allow users to choose if they want to use the NTL web proxies or not

We the undersigned would like to petition NTL to allow its Internet customers to not have to use NTL’s web proxies if they do not wish to use them.

NTL’s proxies regularly cause problems for many NTL Internet users. The advise to users with browsing problems on the NTL network to ‘change your proxy’ is one of the most persistent and common pieces of advise given on all NTL user help sites. We would like to have a choice, as NTL Internet customers, of whether to be routed via these proxies or not.

We believe such an option would improve the NTL Internet experience for many users.
