Bring Back Carl Beck

A gross error in judgment has been made at the Omaha Community Playhouse, regarding the dismissal of Artistic Director Carl Beck. In an art venue as strong as the Omaha Community Playhouse, the artistic vision must supercede the old-fashioned business model. Instead of cutting artistic staff, new ways must be found to raise money, and cost-cutting must not be done at the expense of the art to be produced. At this point, it would appear the immediate solution is to re-hire Carl Beck, remove Tim Schmad and re-organize the board.
