Bring Back Doc Ock

To:  Sam Raimi, director of the Spider-man films

We the undersigned of this petition agree:

Whereas, the main attraction to the movie “Spider-man 2” for many fans was its villain, Doctor Octopus;

Whereas, the said Doctor Octopus has been one of the most popular Spider-man villains ever, enduring from Amazing Spider-man #3 to the present day;

Whereas, the director of the Spider-man movies, Sam Raimi, to the extreme disappointment of the undersigned, mercilessly killed Doctor Octopus off, leaving only the consolation that he sacrificed himself as a hero;

Whereas, the writers of the Spider-man comics already killed and subsequently resurrected Doctor Octopus, and what’s good enough for comics is good enough for the movies based on them;

Therefore the undersigned, feeling it is a disgrace to the Doctor to dispense with him in such a fashion, hereby ask Sam Raimi to find a way to bring back the aforementioned supervillian back from the dead in “Spider-man 3”, either by memory, like the Green Goblin, or a scene in the beginning showing the tentacles swimming up to the shore with the Doctor, very much alive.
