Legalize Cannabis in Oklahoma

Marijuana has been used for thousands of years for medicinal and recreational purposes. Over 11 million people use cannabis every day.

According to the NORML Foundation, "Marijuana is far less dangerous than alcohol or tobacco. It fails to inflict the types of serious health consequences these two legal drugs cause. Around 50,000 people die each year from alcohol poisoning. Similarly, more than 400,000 deaths each year are attributed to tobacco smoking. By comparison, marijuana is nontoxic and cannot cause death by overdose."

Cannabis occurs naturally on this planet just as every other plant or animal does. What gives the government the right to choose what organisms live or die? Can be grown, or possessed? Freedom isn't free unless these plants are free as well. Have the government focus on the dangerous and deadly drugs, such as cocaine, alcohol, tobacco, cocaine, crack, heroin, methamphetamine, etc. Legalize possession and cultivation of cannabis for United States Citizens ages 21 or older.
