As parents and professionals caring for our area's children with Autism, we have found it difficult to obtain services in regards to Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Physical Therapy geared towards these children's distinct needs without leaving the county. While some families do travel to receive these services, many invariably go without this much needed care.
The rate of Autism is increasing right here in our community. Early interventions such as these provide children a chance at living full, rich lives. We implore you to work with us on enhancing and developing OMC's pediatric rehabilitation department to better serve the needs of the North Olympic Peninsula's developmentally disabled children.
