PRODUCCIONES ARTISTICAS SERRANO organises a festival against censorship every autumn with the purpose of denouncing the censorship in art: music, literature, plastic arts, films and support, as well as help, in every possible way, all the artists who have, for any reason, been censored sometime, somewhere...

The idea of this festival started from the necessity to make freedom of expression be respected, as it is recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in the different cases of censorship that have been taking place in different countries of the world.

For this reason and on the occasion of the forced banishment that the Bengali writer TASLIMA NASRIM has been suffering over the last 14 years that has also kept her away from her family, we want to get in contact with the Indian Goverment in Spain to condemn the banishment and demand that TASLIMA NASRIM regains her right to enter her own country Bangladesh. She had been living in the West Bengal, part of India for the last few years where she could feel at home, but she was bundled out of West Bengal last year and since then the central Goverment of India has discouraged her to live in India. Such thing should not happen in a democratic and secular India. We are convinced that freedom of expression is not a crime, but on the contrary, it enhances a country and its government.
