Pétition de soutien à Mme Maya Jribi et Maître Nejib Chebbi
Le Jeudi 20 Septembre 2007, Mme Maya JRIBI Secrétaire Générale du Parti Démocrate Progressiste Tunisien (PDP) et Maître Ahmed Nejib CHEBBI, directeur de l’hebdomadaire El Mawkef, ont entamé une grève de la faim illimitée.
Nous affirmons notre soutien aux grévistes et à leurs revendications :
* L’arrêt de toute procédure d’expulsion du Parti Démocrate Progressiste (PDP) de ses locaux
* L’arrêt de la censure et de l’interdiction dont font l’objet le journal et les sites Internet du PDP Nous signalons que le harcèlement qui cible le PDP est la manifestation d’une politique plus générale d’étouffement de toute voix divergente, qui cible aussi toutes les composantes de l’opposition et de la société civile indépendante tunisiennes.
Nous tenons le gouvernement tunisien pour responsable de toute éventuelle dégradation de l’état de santé des grévistes.

عريضة مساندة للسيّدة ميّة الجريبي والأستاذ أحمد نجيب الشابّي
دخلت السيّدة ميّة الجريبي الأمينة العامّة للحزب الديمقراطي التقدّمي رفقة الأستاذ أحمد نجيب الشابّي مدير جريدة "الموقف" ومؤسّس الحزب، في إضراب غير محدود عن الطعام منذ يوم الخميس 20 سبتمبر بتونس العاصمة.
وهما بذلك يحتجّان على التوظيف المنهجي للقضاء من قبل الحكومة التونسية في سعيها للتضييق على أيّ معارضة جادّة وإغلاق كلّ فضاءات الحرّية والحوار في تونس.
نحن الممضون على هذه العريضة، نعلن مساندتنا للمضربيْن عن الطعام في معركتهما هذه. ونطالب بوقف كلّ الإجراءات الهادفة الى إخراج الحزب الديمقراطي التقدمي من مقرّاته بالعاصمة والجهات .
كما نطالب الحكومة التونسيّة بالكفّ عن التضييق على الناشطين السياسيين وبرفع الرقابة عن الصحافة والأنترنات.
ونحمّل السلطات التونسية المسؤوليّة عن ما قد يطرأ من تدهور على صحّة المضربيْن عن الطعام.


International Petition to support Maya Jribi & Nejib Chebbi
On Thursday 20th of September 2007, Ms Maya Jribi, Secretary General of the Tunisian Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) and lawyer Nejib Chebbi director of the weekly paper “Al-Mawkef”, have started an unlimited hunger strike.
We affirm our full support to the strikers’ demands:
* Stop all procedures to expel the PDP from its office.
* Stop all censorship and blockage on all its Internet websites.
We note that these harassments that the PDP is subject to are part of a wider policy to silence all dissent targeting all components of the opposition and the independent civil society.
We also hold the Tunisian government responsible for any degradation in the health of the hunger-strikers.
