I am dismayed at how we as Canadian tax payers are being banned by goverment intervention (legislation) the right to know our very own credit scores it is a simple right that citizens in most other provinces already have and all across the United States
I was shocked when I answered an online ad to obtain my free report and received this:
Hi all,

Currently, Nova Scotia residents cannot obtain their own credit score AT ALL AND TO GET YOUR CREDIT REPORT IS A LONG DRWN OUT PROCESS THAT TAKES ABOUT 2 WEEKS, from either credit reporting agency in Canada-Equifax and Transunion. (Can obtain the credit report, but NOT the credit score)

Provincial legislation has in effect banned Nova Scotians from obtaining their credit score, despite the fact that any lender can obtain it at the click of a button.

So that is what I am doing as they did not follow through with their petition I am starting my own, demanding the right for All Candaians to know their individual personel credit scores.
