The San Diego City Councils recent decision to restrict the access of pedicabs to the area around Petco Park during Padres baseball games and other special events is unfair and detrimental to people who are self employed as pedicab drivers.

I urge the San Diego City Council to drop the restrictions put on pedicab operators, and to give them the same access as other vehicles, both commercial and private, to the area around Petco Park during games and other special events.

Pedicabs are non-polluting, quiet, and due to their size and maneuverability can go places other vehicles may not be able to safely navigate. Because of the pedicabs unique qualities the feasibility of allowing special access to areas around Petco Park should be looked into by the San Diego City Council, as well as lifting the unfair restrictions imposed by you.
