To YC, the CEO of DFI, to Ed Huang, Head of North American DFI Operations, to Frank Wong, DFI USA Support Manager:
As of January 5th, 2007, you have shut down the support forum known as DFI-street, once found at http://www.dfi-street.com/, a forum which has offered outstanding support to computer enthusiasts of any skill, and was once one of the greatest communities online. It had even reached the level of recognition that several hardware manufacturers were donating components for the forum to test, and had their own tech support representatives become members of the forum.
Please bring back DFI-Street forums. It has singlehandedly changed the life of many, and may be the single most important tool for computer enthusiasts everywhere.
My message to all DFI owners out there: On January 5th, 2007, DFI has come to a disagreement with it's own values and because of it, DFI Street is no more. If you're as upset about this as I am, please sign this petition and let's show DFI just how much the "Street" meant to all us DFI owners out there.

- Dear Sirs, As the author of this petition has well described, the dfi-street forums was an inspiration for power users and overclockers. We could find there informations that no other website would have never been able to provide. Even more some hardware specialized websites were reading the forum to get these informations. When the long serving couple AMDAthlon64-NvidiaNF3/NF4 was finally outrunned by the competition, there were less people interested in precise tweaking (especially the ram) and therefore maybe less visitors of the website. But in fact, it was just a kind of break that many of us took for different reasons and now there is a lack of a specialized websites that will allow people to work together to achieve a similar level of knowledge. May I add that the quality of the forum reflected your achievements in that segment? Finally I don’t see the point of closing dfi-street forums as you would have benefited from feedbacks, created an addiction to dfi as a company and increased the value of dfi as well supported products. It's hard to express how considerable was my disappointment when I realized that the community have been brought to an end. I would like to apologize for my bad English. I hope it was at least comprehensible. Best regards

- I think that DFI is making a mistake closing down DFI-Street.com. It has been an invaluable tool for many DFI owners and is the main reason many of us have purchased your products. Lsoing this resource will severely impact your sales in the computer enthusiast area.

- I wouldn't feel safe buying a DFI board without the the help and community available on this forum. The new "forum" if thats what you call it fails in comparison.

- I understand complications and falling outs but the dfi-street generated an overwhelming amount of sales for dfi. I suggest they get it back if not with the previous moderaters best get it done soon. Time is money and they will notice the differnce is sales. Plus it was the best tech forum i have ever read or been a member. If possible please advise me to what ever happens

- The main reason I went with DFI was its support forum at dfi-street.com. Future sales depend on your company having this forum again.

- Be it good or bad, frank and honest discussion is the best policy. The knowledgeable and diligent DFI-Street members that freely provided User Support there was unmatched and truly second to none in the industry. Something I would have thought DFI as a company would have cherished and kindled. It'll be sorely missed by myself as owning 2 SLI-DR Experts and 7 Ultra-D's. And I'm sure many future DFI purchasers with problems will now not know personally what DFI-Street stood for, 24/7 almost instantaneous answers from experienced users and a great community to have belonged.
