We, the undersigned, as parents of students at Perinton Dance Company, are concerned about recent events at the studio; namely the immediate firing of two dance teachers Chris Kastner and Ramona Reuter. We wish to express to you what we believe is in the best interest of our children.
Our children have worked hard with Chris and Ramona this dance season to learn dance routines for their upcoming competitions and recital. The dance instruction these teachers provide our children are services that are irreplaceable at this point in the year. A change in dance instructors now would make it very difficult for the children to perform at a competitive level.
A tremendous amount of time and effort by the children, and money paid by the parents, have gone into preparing them to put on performances that reflect their dedication to the art of dance. We believe the children are best served by a consistent instructional program that allows them to reap the benefits of their hard work.
We respectfully urge that Ramona Reuter and Chris Kastner be reinstated for the remainder of the dance season. Moreover, in order for the children to be prepared for their upcoming competitions and to represent the studio well, this situation needs prompt resolution. We feel the best interest of our children will not be served if this matter is unable to be resolved during the upcoming week as they will not be adequately prepared for competitions which begin as soon as March 22nd.
