This is a Petition to James 'JY' Young and Tommy Shaw of Styx.
As fans of one of the best Rock bands of all time, we ask you. We beg you. Please open contact with Dennis DeYoung again.
We know you have always argued, and had different views of how things would be done. We know that Dennis needs to have contorl.
We are asking you to put the past aside. We are asking for the original members of Styx to come back and create the music for the young and old who have never been priveleged enough to see the original members in concert.
The fans of Styx do not care about your personal quarrels. We could care less who had control of the band... that's what a manager is for... the band members get together to become a collective group.
We know Mr. Roboto and Babe were not JY and Tommy's style. But they sold, and every band is allowed to have a slight change every once in a while.
We just cannot believe that after over 25 years of knowing each other, you could just drop someone and never talk to them again.
We are asking, as fans, friends and people who care about you. Please talk with Dennis, we know he loved making music with you. Tommy had so many nice things to say on the Return To Paradise DVD.
Bring Dennis back. Bring the man who started the band, and who made the band famous back.
Perform together as friends, not bandmates. Bring back the songs that have gone unperformed for years.
And don't give us another CD like Brave New World....
Mr. Gowan had a successful solo career, and he should be left to do that. Not make a Styx CD.
Tommy and JY will have 3/4 of the CD and gowan will have 1-2 songs because he doesnt have any control like Dennis did.
You're old. You're burning out, and the only thing that will save you in the end is bringing Dennis back and living the next few years on the road remembering how it all began.

- There is no need to Block Dennis from the Band that he started! There is no need at all for any grown Men to be acting so Childish & not speak to someone they workeed with for many years & made such great Music together when I go to a Styx Show I want to see Styx, not just 2 of Styx. If Styx keeps going in this lineup then the Final curtain should be closed on Styx and you name yourselves something else. Is it not Hypocritical for Dennis getting Sick he must be ousted, but for Chuck to get Sick he can come and go as he would like? It is very much so!

- I agree with a previous comment of how hypocritical it is of Styx to exclude Dennis because he was ill, but Chuck is given total access to the band while he's sick. How srewed up is that? Tommy and J.Y. are going to run the band into the ground. Styx as it is now, will be nothing but a decent touring band, that will turn out more half-baked albums like "Brave New World". Hey. we all work with people we don't really get along with, but if you're dedicated and you're successful at what you do, anyone can deal with it. You don't have to hang-out with your co-workers at the end of the day.
