We, the undersigned, call for the immediate resignation of the Executive Committee at the Fйdйration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), and in particular its president, Joseph S. (Sepp) Blatter.

Mr. Blatter has constantly been at the centre of controversy:

1. His description of footballers as modern day slaves is a shameful shambolic comment made by someone holding such an office of influence. Not only does it insult nations who have a history of slavery but it makes a mockery of the fight to end modern day slavery. At the moment the Stop the Traffik campaign is trying to raise global awareness of modern day slavery and comments such as this just devalue hard work going on. Mr. Blatter should maybe look into modern day slavery and question whether sexual abuse, torture, mutilation, and humiliation are aspects of modern footballers.
2. Mr. Blatters wildly inappropriate requests for womens football shorts to be made tighter border on the sexist.
3. There have been constant reports of vote rigging, financial corruption and financial mismanagement within FIFA with Mr. Blatter at the centre.

This man has single-handedly contrived to transform our beautiful game into a farcical lottery, where many people globally feel that the cheat, the conniver, the chiseler nearly always wins over honest endeavor, a game where results often hinge on ludicrous decisions by referees placed under intolerable pressure by their masters in Zurich.

We feel that the time has come for the corruption and poor management at the highest levels must come to an end and as such ask for Mr. Blatter to resign.

    • I support this petition due to various mis-management and ill judgement. Womens football comments, Ronaldo Slave comments, continual bias against the EPL and to top it off rumours of bungs, corruption and contraversy surrounding his election in the first place.

    • Since his presidency in 1999, he has been a disgrace to football 'especially costing ireland a place at 2010 World Cup over thierry henry' he said he wanted fair play but after whan happend in the ireland game he rejected the game being played again for fair play. finally he had the chance to bring in tv replays to help football move forward but sadly the sitaution that MR Blatter has brought us into is a backweards step and hes not really a football man, Stand Down Now Mr Blatter
