The following represent the level headed Mac faithful who do not appreciate Nick Ciarelli of Think Secret. We understand, by definition, that Nick was outside the bounds of the constitution and outside the limits of journalism. Rumormongering such as Think Secret publishes is harmful to Apple. We understand that "Trade Secret" is important to Apple's business model. We would like Apple to pursue this litigation to send a message to any developer, Apple employee, or industry insider, or beta tester that breach of contract [by breaking your Non Disclosure Agreement] is very serious. We also represent potential customers - we feel such litigation may ease future need for litigation against others who try to take advantage of Apple at our expense (by higher prices). Further, we represent Apple shareholders. As shareholders we believe Think Secret sets financial expectations too high by mixing credible and ficticious rumors, that stock market analysts and major news sources, quote and misquote. This is often detrimental to Apple's stock and quarterly forecasts.

- Apple please pursue this case because
- Trade secrets and insider information need to be protected, not distributed. NDAs exist for this reason and if they are not enforced will mean little or nothing. Taking advantage of the anonymity of the internet should not be overlooked because it is not loudly public. As an Apple advocate and consumer, while I want to know what is going on in the industry, I also understand how release of trade secrets and insider information hurt the company and ultimately myself and others.

- Apple please pursue this case because
- There is a vast difference between investigative journalism when there is suspicion, or evidence, of improper behavior, and solicitation of trade secrets and/or disclosure protected product information. Under one scenario, there is a vested public interest in wrong being exposed, in the other, there is only the need to satisfy a curiosity, and to do so via any means. One is and should be constitutionally protected. The other should not. If Apple Computer were trying to cover-up corporate misdeeds or flaws affecting consumers, then I would support Think Secret's right to investigate such things, even including solicitiation of information from anonymous employees. However, this is requesting people to violate legally binding agreements, only for the curiosity of others. And it is possibly damaging, by allowing competitors advance insight into Apple's direction. That is inappropriate for any site.

- Apple please pursue this case because
- Nick DeCriminal has been a thorn in the side of the Mac community for years. The fact that he attends harvard, yet can't afford an attorney just goes to show what a liar he is. He's a little b*tch that must be slapped. Stealing information and posting it online is not what the founding fathers had in mind for the first amendment. Go get him Apple. He's had this coming for years now.

- No other company would tolerate such disclosure of secrets. Just because Apple is an interesting company doesn't give anyone the right to break non-disclosure agreements. Furthermore, think of all the damaging press that was generated when the iPod mini cost more than it was rumored to. These rumor sites are very damaging to Apple. As a shareholder I strongly support Apple's right to keep unannounced product details secret!

- NDAs as contracts are important for everyone who signs one to honor. I believe the publisher of such "stolen" information hurts not just Apple but also the shareholders and its customers by diffusing and/or destroying market "buzz."

- Apple please pursue this case because
- Rumours are fine, encouraging people to break NDA's is not.

- Apple please pursue this case because
- Apple has every right to pursue litigation against people it feels hurt it's business. NDAs are there for a reason, and breaking them definitely hurts business. Nick needs to learn that journalism has a certain level of responsibility. Freedom of press does not mean you can publish anything you want. There are penalties for your actions.
