The call has been put out. Capcom has told the gaming community that if Bionic Commando is ever to be on the Wii, we are going to have to be the ones to put it there. This petition aims to prove to Capcom that the Wii crowd does indeed want Bionic Commando on their platform of choice, and Wii owners are willing to fight for it.

Capcom wasn't too specific when it came to the details of a possible Bionic Commando game on Wii. The newest entry in the franchise is heading to the PS3, 360, and PC. I have no idea if Capcom would be able to port that game down to the Wii. We all understand that there would have to be some significant changes made if this game did get ported. Having said that, there may be some portions of the game that the Wii just couldn't handle.

If a port of the Bionic Commando game mentioned above is possible, we are all for it. If not, we are also open to a brand-new Bionic Commando game to hit the Wii. It's not hard to see how the Wii control scheme could benefit a Bionic Commando game in a big way. No matter the direction Capcom would take with a Wii Bionic Commando, I think we can all agree that the control scheme could make for a very visceral experience.

It has been a long time since the Bionic Commando series graced a Nintendo platform. There was an entry for the NES, which is highly regarded as one of the best games for that platform. There was also Bionic Commando: Elite Forces for the GBC, which was worked on by NST, in cooperation with Capcom. Since then, the best we've gotten is the NES version of Bionic Commando through a GBA collection.

It's time for a new Bionic Commando on the Wii. The fans have heard the call, and we are signing our names in the hopes of Capcom noticing. With the right amount of time and care, Bionic Commando on the Wii could be a much-needed AAA addition to the Wii's software library. We are doing our part of the deal, and hopefully this petition will convince Capcom to back up their claims.

And no Capcom...a Virtual Console release of the NES game doesn't count!
