We, the undersigned, ask that the Liga Juvenil De Baseball De New Haven and league commissioner Reynaldo Reyes actually be held to the same standards of fairness, community, and decency they claim to enforce under their leadership. The location of the league is New Haven, CT. If the league is going to advertise itself as being a caring, and nurturing, family-like environment then the people running the league must be held responsible when they fail to follow their own directives. This petition was created, first, as a response to the recent controversy surrounding the league and its conduct towards the Scott Family and, second, for well-being and unity of all the families who are part of the league. Numerous news outlets have reported the story and its details. Please, sign this petition if you support the purpose of its message; which is mainly to preserve the integrity of this particular youth league.

    • To Mr. Noble.... Sportsmanship is bigger than a nine year old and you created a negative culture not only for one child but two teams! You should be ashamed. If you are in fact an attorney i hope that people remember this becasue you might just pack up your breifcase and go home becasue the judge was too mean. You are going to be the topic of many a college sociology class...I hope you are proud of what you have done.

    • i keep hearing people say he should play in a more competitive league, but what people fail to understand (especially folks who dont coach or know baseball) is that 40 mph IS NOT FAST AT ALL for that age group. its average at best. so moving him up serves no real purpose because a)he is a marginal pitcher (speed wise) anyway,so moving him up merely makes him the poster child for the Peter Principle. Its akin to someone kicking a kid out of a Spelling Bee at 10 years old because he knows how to spell the word HOUSE so is considered so much better than the rest of the competition because they CANT spell five lettered words. THEY ARE THE ONES BEHIND, not the pitcher. 40 mph is not exceptional at all for that age group. I know because i coach my sons 9-10 yr old team. And b)what kid you know WOULDNT want to continue playing with his friends his age?
