BHS Mountain Bike Club: Open Trails Petition
ATTENTION ALL OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS! Do you like the luxury of clean and clear trails in your area? Do like to participate in an alternative outdoor sport or multiple outdoor sports? Do you know of a youth who wants to do these activities but has a hard time finding a place to do them? If you answer yes to any of these questions please help.
Brighton High School Mountain Bike Club, a student led organization dedicated to promoting mountain biking and life long wellness, is leading the community in allowing the opening of multi-use trails in our area.
Currently, there are no legal Monroe County Park trails open to bikers, only town parks can allow biking. Our goal is to change that. We would help, meaning the Mountain Bike community, on a daily basis to clean and maintain these multi-use trails. Tryon Park, located off Winton Road runs along Irondequoit Creek in the Irondequoit Bay area, is a now a test area for biking; meaning we can ride there.
BHS Mountain Bike Club Goal is to create and help maintain Multi-Use trials in:
Ellison Park,
Irondequoit Bay Park West
Abraham Lincoln Park (formerly Irondequoit Bay Park East)
Irondequoit Creek Corridor
Buckland Park
We need your support. We will present this petition to Monroe County and the Town of Brighton. Hopefully, working with the two departments will allow these areas for biking.
(Please if you do not live in the area in which this petition is pointed towards, meaning the Monroe county area, do not sign this petition.)

- Please open all Monroe County Parks, suggestion: pedestrians allowed on trail every other day, alternating with Mountain Biking access so all trails are accessible to all

- Myself and Park Ave Bike fully supports the legitimate use of our public land for multi use activities. Park's are for people to enjoy, their use should not be controlled by a vocal minority.
