Body checking in female hockey

It should be allowed. Hockey was created as a physical sport, and is meant to be played physically. The rules shouldn't be different for females, there is no reason that it shouldn't be allowed.
There are MAJOR benefits to full contact body checking in female hockey. It will teach players to keep their head up, and their eyes not glued to the puck. It will give them better awareness, so they can read the play better, and it won't be missing the huge part of the game that is full contact body checking.

    • It's insane that we've got to play against people who are actually physically different (guys) and whose body contact might cause injury, when females are perfectly capable to take and dish out "safe" yet effective hits. With the so-called acceptance of women's hockey, how is it fair that girls are meant to be able to emulate the same NHL heroes the boys do, yet never have a chance to try and play that way themselves?

    • I personally played hockey and I always disagreed with the fact that women players can't get as physical as the men do. We are not weak. We can take it... we wouldn't have signed up for the sport if we were worried about getting hurt. It's supposed to be a rough sport!
