- The Mayor and City Council have a choice; to be known for killing, or to be known as Leaders...progressive, contemporary and humane. It's their legacy, and their choice.

- The killing of the deer should be the last resort, not the first. The city of RH is in deep financial trouble and cannot afford to alienate half the city over the deer issue. We need to suspend the killing now and work out an alternative solution. We can do a lot better working together as a city.

- How about slowing down the traffic! Maybe there wouldn't be so many car/deer accidents. Guns should not be fired within ANY city limits! Are these sharp shooters going to be able to live with themselves if one of their bullets kill someones child asleep in their bed like happened in Capac, MI several years back?

- I I strongly oppose the culling of the deer. If there were more monitoring of the speed violations on Orion Road there would be far fewer deer car accidents. The deer are innocent creatures.

- In 2007, the Highway Loss Data Institute reported that 223 people in the U.S. died in animal-vehicle crashes. The Governors Highway Safety Association cautioned that the numbers need to be examined in context, citing the more than 12,000 drunk driving deaths each year. Rochester Hills would be wise to direct its attention to more pressing matters regarding traffic safety!

- This is no longer just about the immoral and unsafe killing of innocent deer without first attempting more peaceful means of coexistence. This is once again about the continuing arrogance of a City Council that refuses to listen to the majority of the citizens who voted them into office and have spoken against their misinformed decision. It's time to cull the Council!

- The way the city of RH proceeded with this culling is just another sad demonstration of the bumbling, overpaid status quo rolling over our community. My mother heard shots during the night last week and was terrified. FOIAs have not been answered, helicopters, not following through with agreements with residents, attempts at stiffling free speech, lawsuits-what a sad state of affairs. This has really turned in to a fiasco.

- It's really sad when we want to get rid of the nature in our community, when people come to Rochester Hills to enjoy our "out in the country" down town area. Fact: there are too many squirrels in Rochester Hills should we bring people in to shoot them too!
