No to Allowing a Nude Beach on the Berg Property Petition

We the undersigned, all owners at 1800 Atlantic Condominium, strongly oppose a clothing-optional beach being located anywhere on the Berg property.

    • i strongly disagree with having a nude beach on the berg property or any public beach in key west. children can be exposed to this nudity when landing in an airplane, walking along smathers beach, from a boat, or the nearby condos or from white street pier. the berg property was purchased to be a nature preserve not a "nude" preserve.

    • It is difficult to believe that such a thing would even be considered. The last time I heard, the rights of those who want the freedom to do as they please still cannot infringe upon the property owners and public who have to live with their culturally offensive behavior. This is still not the French Riviera. Owners at 1800 on the West side would be voyeurs whether they like it or not.

    • The Berg Property was speicifally designated as a nature preserve. The City's parking 'solutions' in the area of Atlantic Blvd. and Bertha St. are totally inadequate and unrealistic.

    • We have had discussions in the past with the Key West appraiser's office about the valuation of our unit for tax purposes. During these discussions we were told that included as part of our fair market value was the view we had of the Ocean. How much do you think we should pay for a view of someone's naked rear? Put your nude beach in the mangroves if you must have one, not next to our property!!!!
