After a two-year study, the Elizabeth Forward Revitalization Task Force has recommended K 3 Primary Centers and a 4 and 5 Intermediate Center with Elizabeth Elementary being utilized as a Pre K/Community Center.

Instructional Advantages

The K-3 schools William Penn, Mt. Vernon, and Greenock enable a more even distribution of students throughout district classrooms.

More opportunities to provide accelerated programs.

More opportunities to provide remediation programs and classes.

Greater opportunity to provide an age-appropriate learning environment.

More effective and efficient use of staff and materials.

Smaller age range of students per building (no longer have kindergartners with 5th graders)

Class size projected to range from 17-20.

The Central Intermediate School will prepare students for a Middle School environment while maintaining an elementary setting.

Accommodate expanded intermediate programs such as foreign language, Tech Ed. and Health.

An opportunity to expand additional time for Physical Education, Art, Music, Instrumental, and Computer Classes.

The increased flexibility in staffing would provide increased opportunities for students to advance in areas such as Music, Science and Technology.

This proposal would provide the opportunity to interact with other district students prior to attending the Middle School.

Class size projected to range from 21-23.

This WILL NOT have an impact on your TAXES.

The 4th and 5th Graders WILL NOT ride the bus with Middle School students.
