Petition: 'A NEW GOODIES DVD - I would buy it!'

We the undersigned wish to alert BBC Worldwide (and partners) to consumer / fan demand for a third DVD release of THE GOODIES in the near future, ideally to be released just in time for the 40th anniversary of The Goodies debut episode, being celebrated in November 2010.

A new GOODIES DVD for 2011 is an equally fantastic goal and would be received with as much joy.

Additional: This rapid-response petition will be delivered to BBC Worldwide in May 2010, but is by no means limited to that timeframe.

    • The Goodies created some of the most brilliantly surreal comedy of the 1970s, and appeal across a huge cross-section of the population. Its rare that something can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike without little fuss. There is a significant trade in bootlegs of the Goodies dvds, and I for one would happily trade in my off-airs and illicitly obtained copies for fully restored legitimately released episodes. I am UK based but will import if I have to.
