Rabaзal Cable Car Madeira Archipelago
It is public knowledge that there is a strong possibility of being constructed a cable car in Rabaзal, an important area of Laurissilva - which in 1992 was incorporated into the Biogenetic Network Reserves of the Europe Council and is a Special Protection Area - SPA , Under the Birds Directive.
Furthermore, the Madeira Laurissilva forest was declared a World Natural Heritage by UNESCO in December 1999.
Let's not use the same old and tired excuses of an uncertain economic and social development or simply for financial gains; the proposed project is supposed to attract tourism to the area, the same tourists that are saying loud and clear: "STOP BUILDING! WE DON'T WANT A CABLE-CAR HERE!"
This will destroy what must and should be preserved for the future of a valuable and rare ecosystem sustainability such is our unique Laurissilva Forest.
How can we try to prevent this outrageous attack against this island most beautiful landscape? How can we express ourselves that this will NOT bring any real value to this landscape, and on the contrary, will bring serious consequences for the local fauna and flora, degrading and changing permanently the landscape.
Let it be known to the authorities, that they're preparing an attack against an increasingly fragile nature with irreversible consequences.

A Laurissilva da Madeira ascendeu а qualidade de Patrimуnio Mundial Natural da UNESCO em Dezembro de 1999.
Que nгo se usem as mesmas e velhas desculpas de sempre e que em nome de um duvidoso desenvolvimento econуmico e social; da suposta satisfaзгo e atracзгo de uma classe turнstica, que afinal diz em alto e bom som STOP BUILDING! WE DON'T WANT A CABLE-CAR HERE! se destrua aquilo que devendo e sendo preservado poderб ser a sustentabilidade de todo um valiosissimo e raro ecossistema.
Como podemos tentar impedir que avanзe este ultrajante atentado contra o que de mais bonito tem esta terra? Como podemos impedir uma obra que nгo irб trazer nenhuma mais valia para este local, e pelo contrбrio, trazendo consequкncias gravнssimas para a fauna e flora locais, degradando e alterando todo aquele aspecto visualmente belнssimo e apelativo.
Dando a conhecer аs entidades competentes os atentados que se preparam contra uma natureza cada vez mais fragilizada e pelos vistos com cada vez menos defensores.

Teleferico (camuflado dizem eles .. aka de vidro, moderno e sem qualquer enquadramento na paisagem, isso sim!), loja souvenirs, esplanadas, areas ajardinadas (com palmeiras! claro!) ... enfim sera + um escarro na paisagem que esta (SOCIEDADE DE DESENVOLVIMENTO PONTA OESTE) vem dar aos Madeirenses, devem pensar que andamos todos 'tapados'!!
