Lo scopo della petizione è quello di convincere la società Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A . ad adottare il formato "tabloid" per il suo omonimo quotidiano.

L'attuale formato de "Il Sole 24 Ore" è scomodo e desueto. Tali dimensioni potevano essere giustificate dalle difficoltà di impaginazione delle tabelle riportanti le quotazioni di indici, titoli e fondi. Tutti questi dati sono oggi consultabili on-line, o comunque adattabili ad un formato cartaceo più fruibile (come il Financial Times).

Il formato "tabloid", tipico delle testate britanniche ed in rapida diffusione anche in Italia, garantirà maggiore comodità di lettura in spazi ristretti quali metropolitane, treni ed aerei.

The purpose of this petition is to persuade Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. to adopt a tabloid format for its namesake newspaper.

Il Sole 24 Ores current format is uncomfortable and obsolete. Its size could have been justified by the difficulties encountered in defining the tables layout, those reporting daily stocks, funds and index quotation. This data can be easily consulted on-line, or adjusted in a more usable paper format (like Financial Times).

The tabloid format, characteristic of the British press and fast-growing in Italy, will assure increased usage comfort in shrunk places like subways, trains and airplanes.
