SOLDIER IN NEED OF HELP
Im currently serving with the british army and have been for the past nine years and have devoted myself to the army serving in N.Ireland,Serria Leon, 3 Tours of Iraq and Afganastan. Having most recently returned from Afganastan were i did not even have the required kit needed for my job as a infantry platoon sjt i was put straght back into work with no help I found myself finding it hard to cope and return to normal life due to nightmares. I tried to get some help but was brushed under the carpet and turned to heavly drinking to block my memories of lost freinds. I am not looking for people to feel sorry for me As this is my job However the army did not and still to this day do not help. There is one person who has been my there for me from start to finish and that is my wife and this is a petition on behalf of her to bring awareness to the army that we cannot work or operate without are wifes and familys support and they need to be shown more respect and offered more help and suppoert my wife was alone from myself for nine months whilst i was in Afganastain and not one visit was made from my unit NOT even a phone call.My wife has been through alot sticking by myside and supporting me in my nightmares and drunken stunts. However when she has turned to the army for help due to myself being beaten up for no reason people starting on my wife and my camp blanking us it got to the point were see was put on antidepressents and they still did not show a intrest at the moment we are both currently in Germany and would love to be able to move to England on a posting were my 3 other battilons are. However the army have said that i have two choices married unacompanyed which means i stay in germany and she moves to the uk on her own. Or i leave the army. This has now cause me and my wife to spilt due to the army pushing us apart. The split has cause me to try and end my life by overdoseing i am now being medicly sorted AGAIN NO THANKS TO THE ARMY and have been in hospatil for three weeks and no one from the army has even bothered to check up on me!!! I hope you will all just sign this petition as i have given my life to the army to protect queen and country and am now getting nothing in return and if i leave i have nothing. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and please fill free to leave a coment. And if my wife ever reads this thanks to you im still alive and fighting for the army to wake up and support familys more

- as an army wife myself i think it is disgusting how we get treated by the army. The army have to remember that behind every good soldier is an even better wife, they dont realise how much we have to put up with!!

- The Army do not recognise that when our soldiers come home they find it hard to lead a normal life after the things they have seen and had to deal with. there should be more support networks in place for our soldiers and their families as it is them who has to pick up the peices of their broken loved ones after they spend every night reliving the things they have seen and had to deal with while away on tours for their queen and country the Army need to wake up and realise their soldiers are not robots who have no feelings and there are more important things to deal with than what theme the xmas ball will be

- my son is in the us army stationed in baumholder germany with his wife and four children he did a 15 month tour in iraq and is going through identical circumstances.only know he is experiencing seizures and the army doesnt seem to care. i want them to fix him, they broke him. he is an awesome human being and is shattered by all of this and noone seems to care except for me his wife and kids. i pray for him daily and shall do so for you to.
