The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon / LDS Church) does not disclose its financial operations to the public or to its members.
Do you wonder how much the leaders of the Church (e.g. General Authorities, Apostles, the Prophet) get paid? Church members are generally taught that no members get paid for their service. There is reason to doubt this. Some say Church leaders receive hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
Which businesses does the Church own and invest in and how has money been used in the past?
How much money does the Church really have?
How much money do the Church use to help the needy compared to investing it in business ventures or buying property?
What is the Church's relationship and history with Ensign Peak Advisors?
If you are a member of the Church paying tithing and offerings, do you wonder exactly how your money is used and why the Church refuses to make such things public?
Sign the petition to ask the Church for full financial transparency.

- I am a resigned member wishing he had known how all his tithing was spent. Why can't the LDS church disclose to it's members how they spend their hard earned money?! If they don't disclose this information, I can only assume that they are not spending the money on worthy causes. I can only assume they are not spending money the way a church is expecting to spend it's money. It is dishonest and morally wrong for an organization to require it's members to give up 10\% of their earnings and not show them how exactly it is being spent.

- I was excommunicated at my request many years ago but remained a true believer until I learned the truth through research on sites such as MormonThink and UTLM among others. I paid thousands while a member, to tithing, missionary fund, building fund and fast offerings. It is time for Mormon leaders to live what that they preach, to be honest, true, virtuous and do the right thing, for once. Tell the world about your finances and how much you really help the needy. Stop grinding the faces of the poor and be honest in your dealings with others. Let your light so shine that others may see your good works, Bretheren. If you really want to make an impression on the world and salvage what is left of your dominion, at least be honest about how you spend your poor membership's hard-earned dollars.

- As an active member, I would like to see a thorough accounting of how all donations are used. Financial transparency is important for a large organization like the church, and will help set an example of honesty and openness with all members.

- My signature does not indicate support of this petition. On the contrary, I sign to indicate my trust and confidence that the leaders of the Church act according to divine inspiration in the disposition of tithing funds. I therefore do not need or require such public disclosure as this petition calls for.

- I am OPPOSED to this petition. I call on the authors of this petition to allow a vote in support of the LDS approach to fanancial managment. I believe that the vast majority of tithe-paying Latter Day Saints support and trust how the LDS Church handles its finances.

- I was VERY disturbed to learn that the church is building a 3 billion dollar mall, yet I have no idea if my hard-earned 10\% is being funnelled that way or not. I also read that 3 billion, oddly enough, is what it would take to rebuild Haiti. Where is my Church's priorities?

- Will the $3 billion shopping mall at least have a soup kitchen for homeless people? I thought not. Church spending needs to be disclosed and used responsibly.

- Approximately 1.5 billion in humanitarian aid over a 25 year span (per the church's own website), but 2-3 billion spent on a mall? It's obvious where the LDS leadership's priorities are. Show your members the finances. You are obviously hiding something.
