HIV/AIDS Refugees Must Not Be Permitted Entry Into Canada

HIV/AIDS positive refugees accepted into Canada are a threat to public safety and are a drain on the public health care system.

Between January 2002 and October 2003 approximately 300 HIV/AIDS positive refugees from around the world were settled in Ontario. Another 150 were accepted into Quebec. As for the remainder of Canada 35 HIV/AIDS positive refugees have been allowed into British Columbia, 20 in Alberta and a the remainder relocated to Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nova Scotia.

While the current level of Third World immigration to Canada is a worry in and of itself, accepting HIV-positive immigrants and refugees into Canada not only puts greater strain on an already inperiled public health care system, but endangers the lives of Canadian citizens as well. For example, it is believed in some African countries that sexual intercourse with a virgin can cure HIV/AIDS, resulting in an epidemic of rapes in the formerly well ordered society of South Africa. Is these the kinds of people we want to allow into the country?

The Canadian government has the duty to protect Canadian citizens first. As such, we as voters and taxpayers insist that the government end the policy of permitting HIV/AIDS refugees into Canada.

    • I agree. We wiped out tuberculosis here in Canada and it was unheard of for 40 years. It took one foreigner, who came here crying probably because they had a hangnail, to spread it all over again. I think anyone with a terminal, contageous disease should be tagged so the public knows!

    • Why would we let people with HIV/AIDS into our country? What do they have to offer us? They will shortly end up a burden on our already struggling healthcare system and original Canadians (the ones who's families go back 50 or more years) will be left BEHIND and we will have a lower standard of care for ourselves. I see these commercials on TV with sick africans and asians and the charities ask us for 30$ a month. I almost did this until I realized that my family and I were already paying a huge amount of taxes to support immigrants to this country. 75\% of recent immigrants to this country do not contribute in any way and take our welfare and hard earned tax money away from us. In the United states, caring for an HIV/AIDS positive person from the beginning of illness to the end of life would cost 1+ million dollars at LEAST. So why do we want to import these people who will give us nothing in return and suck away 1+ million dollars each in healthcare costs which could be better spent on us? STUPIDITY!
