To Whom it May Concern:

We, The Fans of the Daytime Soap Opera 'Passions', are hereby creating a petition for the termination of the NBC soap opera "Passions" headwriter James E. Reilly due to his lack of innovation in the creation of storylines. We are also requesting his termination because of his lengthy storylines and lack of resolution of conflict. If James E. Reilly is not terminated, then he should be forced to improve his storyline writing techniques. If no inmprovement is made after the submission of this petition, plans to boycott this soap opera will be made.

- Ridiculous and pointless storylines with "events" and fantasies that have no bearing on the storyline. Repetitious in plots (i.e the "love" triangles, weddings and pregnancies) and repetitous and inane dialogue being repeated by characters that have become too stupid to watch!!!

- The storylines take to long, and are stupid. The actors and viewers deserve better than this. I guess once Passions is cancelled due to extremely low ratings like Port Charles, you will understand this. - I can honestly say that I stopped watching Passions about a yr after it premired. Mainly because of all the "out-there" storylines. The show is complete crap and I have no idea who's in charge of releasing such BS onto TV screens all across America, but in my opinion they should be executed. However, having been a longtime viewer of Days, it's really shaken me up to know that my favorite show is soon going to be in the hands of James E. Reilly, mainly because the man could not write a decent storyline if his life depended on it. Now I'm hearing that my favorite actors are being fired and it doesn't surprise me. For some reason he seems to have a problem with actors who can actually ... oh I don't know, ACT.

- James Reilly truly has no idea how to write storylines for soaps. He should not be in the business. Passions has continued with the same drawnout storylines for the past 4 months now. If I were to go away for a month, I could guarantee that I'd come back to see Sheridan Crane in the same clothes as when I left, probably still in that stupid pit. Also, although this is a petitiion for Passions, I am also disgusted by the way he is writing for Days of Our Lives. To get rid of great characters such as Chloe, The Wesleys, JACK, and Abe is an outrage. Please fire this idiot, he should be selling soaps on the street, not writing for them

- what ever happened to chad's paternity? and when will antonio find out about sheridan and luis? this kind of writing is fine for movies, but should NEVER and i repeat, NEVER be allowed to appear on soap operas. the story lines start out interesting, then he just seems to forget about them. by the time they're resolved (if that actually happens, very unlikely), the audience jsut doesn't care!

- Either he resolve all the storylines or his ass gone. I've been a fan of the show since it debut and yet I haven't seen one single storyline resolve. If you haven't notice Mr. Riley, you have lost so may viewers because of your writings. If the show started off like this, then there wouldn't be any veiwers left. Some of us has stuck by it, do us all a favor and do something right for us. You owe us that much. NBC/Passions should start listening to fans and make some changes coz you know what they say, fans can make and break you. There's one reason why I'm still watching the show and that's Fox and Theresa pairing up. Non of the other storyline does anything for me and it's not new.
