We, the concerned citizens from Gujarat are seriously disturbed and anguished by the unanimous banning of the movie "FANAA". Only bunch of people are trying to represent Gujarat and making it the view for the whole state. The issue here is that Aamirs comments have been blown out of proportion. All he is asking for is the rehabilitation of those displaced by the construction of the dam.
By banning the screening of Fanaa it seems an offence to avail the right of expression.
We are ashamed to live in a country where one political party can use the power given to them by the people to punish and rob a person of his democratic rights. The concerned party has shown the highest level of immaturity by stopping the screening of Fanaa..
People of Gujarat must get the chance to put forward their view as to what exactly they want.
We, therefore urge upon you to, in the interest of the people of Gujarat, to
1) Allow cinema owners to screen the film.
2) Make sure that the law and order prevails.
3) Take the necessary action against those who slaughtering the democratic rights.

    • The ban on the film at the behest of the fascist fundamentalist forces of Gujarat is wholly unjustified, and the ban should be lifted immediately. Strict and exemplary action must be taken against those who try to incite hatred, violence and trouble.
