Mage class underpowered in World of Warcraft

Mage class in World of Warcraft is fairly underpowered - numerous threads on forums, absence of mage characters in top 100 payers, and lack of mage characters on game servers speak clearly for that statement. You can't see mages in battlegrounds since they can't really compete with more hard-armored classes; they ofеn are refused to be invited in raid group (quote from forum : "you are invited to make a mage table and then you are kicked. "). Blizzard advertisements, game manual, and information on official site promote mage as top dps (damange per second) class, but in reality mage is nearly worst class when it comes to damage; hybrid and melee class show more damange while wearing better armor (for more information look http://code.google.com/p/simulationcraft/wiki/SampleOutputPTR). This can be considered as huge game imbalance, inconsistency between advertisement and real product and, consequently, violation of customer rights. We highly suggest Blizzard to revise their treatment of Mage character class and do everything to make this class competitive in both PvP or PvE aspects of game.
